Discipleship
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”
What does it mean to make disciples? To make disciplined one.
The process of helping to produce Christ-like character in a believer by another person.
Jesus gives this assignment to his followers:
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”
The Great Commission is God’s instruction for us as believers:
to live with His purpose in mind,
to share Jesus with others, and
to train others to live with Him as Lord of their lives
—making disciples of all nations.
Mark 16:15
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’”
God wants us to tell everyone about Jesus and His sacrifice.
And by everyone, He says the word “whole,”
which means that God came for - ALL of us, - every person - in every nation.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in
Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”
