What does Love Do?
1 Cor 16:14 Let everything you do be done in love
(true love to God and man as inspired by God’s love for us)
1 Cor 13:4-7
- Love is patient,
- Love is kind.
- It does not envy.
- It does not boast.
- It is not proud.
- It does not dishonor others.
- It is not self-seeking.
- It is not easily angered.
- It keeps no record of wrongs.
- Love does not delight in evil.
- It rejoices with the truth.
- It always protects,
- It always trusts,
- It always hopes,
- It always perseveres.
1 Cor 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 John 4:7-8
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love.
