Weekly Update on Aug. 1, 2024

On Sunday, August 4 we will meet at 11:00 a.m. for our weekly worship service.  Dr. Ron Pappalardo will give a message titled: Experiences With God.  Please bring a side dish to share for potluck lunch.  

We will have Game Night at the church on Saturday, August 3 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  TFC is bringing beverages and pastries.  You bring your favorite games.

SR2 Blessing coordinator Cathy Kace is organizing a Level 2 Blessing Workshop in New Hill, NC on October 25 -27, about 30 miles from the Triangle.  We are looking for volunteers to help with cooking and childcare.  Workshop is open to BC's between 18 and 35.  Here is the link to register. 

Message from Rev. Saunders: The SR 2 educational team is in the process of editing and upgrading the DP lectures which are offered virtually and in person at the Washington Time building. The new title is: Peace Starts with Me seminar series. The introductory level presentation is now: An introduction into the Principles of Peace, given every Saturday morning virtually at 10:30 am which will be presented by both first- and second-generation lecturers. The second lecture, which is given twice a month on Saturday afternoon is entitled: The Essence of the Principles of Peace beginning on Saturday, August 11th at 1:00 pm. The next presentation is offered every Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm and is entitled: Exploring Universal Principles of Peace, beginning on August 6th. The Living DP 12-week course will begin Monday evening, on September 2nd at 8:00 pm. All these presentations include content from the Blue Dragon tours and True Mother’s speeches.

Statewide ACLC outreach meetings are the first and third Mondays at 7:00 p.m. The next meeting is Monday, Aug. 5 at 7:00p.m. Here is the link to join the meeting.
